Mark Dipnall was a former full time principal clarinetist with the Australian Opera and the Australian Ballet Company in Melbourne and the Sydney Opera House. He performed with the likes of Richard Bonynge, Carlo Felice Cillario, Mark Elder, Dame Joan Sutherland, Paul Saliba, Marilyn Richardson, Garth Welch, Ormsby Wilkins, Marilyn Jones, Dame Kiri Te Kanawa, Luciano Pavarotti, Sir John Pritchard and Sir Charles Mackerras etc.
Mark Dipnall also performed as a clarinetist with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra and toured extensively as a principal clarinetist with the Melbourne Chamber Orchestra.
On his return to Melbourne, Mark Dipnall completed his Bachelor of Music Performance Degree followed by a Graduate Diploma in Education including the completion of the Master of Music Studies Degree and a Master of Education in music research. All these degrees were completed at the University of Melbourne having been awarded the Austral Salon, Bradford, Kefford and Commonwealth scholarships in research and performance.
Mark Dipnall is formerly the Vice President of VMTA, Vice President CLASAX, Vice President-Treasurer ASME, Treasurer and Public Officer AMUSE and the most recent President of the Ringwood Eisteddfod. Mark Dipnall is a very experienced eisteddfod adjudicator, respected teacher and an eminent performer and director of many varied music genres.
